"Cool," "calm," and "fun" are all words YouthTank interns use to describe alumna Zahreea Davis. Known for her approachability and work ethic, Zahreea has played a big part at YouthTank through her leadership and follow-through.

Zahreea's first YouthTank internship was at our 2023 iOS Mobility internship at Central Michigan University and Apple Developer Academy in Detroit. At first, Zahreea was scared to make new friends in a new environment and public speaking. Through practice, Zahreea developed a vibrancy that allowed her to pitch ideas to decision-makers like Mike Duggan at the 2024 Detroit Youth Mobility Summit.
Professionally Present
During YouthTank's 2025 Summer Programming, Zahreea took on 2 big roles.
Her first role was that of a Peer Leader. As a Peer Leader, she smoothly guided programming and helped meet project goals with haste and quality. Having built a foundation of professionalism through YouthTank and possessing a strong character, she was a perfect fit for the role.
In her second role, Zahreea collaborated with a startup company named VoiceBlocks, where she was in charge of video editing. Despite outside stresses, she left her hardships out of her workspace and committed herself to fulfilling her role as a video editor with support from her peers.
Making Big Moves
In 2025, Zahreea started studying at Central Michigan University with a focus on Fashion Design. Despite the rigors of collegiate life, Zahreea schedules her time efficiently to enjoy extracurriculars like being part of a dance team..

Dress to Impress
Zahreea is passionate about fashion design due to her starting to design clothes at a very young age. Presently, Zahreea focuses on not only the conceptualization but also the crafting of quality garments, with a clear vision of working with numerous established brands. Being an entrepreneur, Zahreea is confident in her abilities and strongly believes in legacy, seeking to establish her legacy worldwide as a famous fashion designer.

Looking Ahead
As Zahreea continues to put her all into her craft, in the next 3 years she aims to graduate with her bachelor's in fashion design and a minor in entrepreneurship. Looking further, though, Zahreea is determined to be known for her skill, owning her own business styling clients. Alongside her long-term goals, she seeks to give back to YouthTank, and most importantly, her community.
